We all know Lagoon, but this is a rare opportunity to find out how their supply chain system works across all of their various commodities from the food and concessions they sell through the repair and maintenance supplies for attractions and BEYOND (Did you know that their beautiful landscaping is all vertically integrated? They have their own greenhouses where they grow the plants for their annual displays from seed!). We will start at 11:00 AM with lunch at their Beergarden Restaurant, start the program at noon with an overview of the company and they procurement and buying practices. The tour is expected to take about 1.5 hours and there will be a lot of walking from the south part of the park where the greenhouses are located, over to the "Primordial" attraction and finishing at the administration building at the far north end of the park where we will see the receiving area, main inventory warehouse and the maintenance crib where they expect to be servicing parts of 4 different ride components. The Last hour will be an open Q&A panel with supply chain staff- if you do not come prepared with questions, you will likely think of many during the earlier portions of our visit. We are very grateful to Lagoon for collaborating with us to make this an exceptionally interesting and valuable event!
